1 . On 16 to 18 July , Conn-Selmer Institute Asia Conference 2010 will be organising concerts .

16th July (Friday) 7.30PM: Yishun-Peixin Concert Band / Shuqun Primary School Brass Band

17th July (Saturday) 7.30PM: Singapore Wind Symphony

Singapore Wind Symphony will present familiar selections including Gloriosa (1st & 3rd Movement) by Yasuhide Ito conducted by the composer himself.

18th July (Sunday) 5.00PM: West Winds

West Winds will showcase works by Yagisawa, Sparke, Barnes and Arnold under the baton of ME5 Philip Tng & Mr Yasuhide Ito. This includes a newly edited version of First Suite in E-flat by Ito based on Holst''''s original manuscripts.

3 . Juniors ,
By 10 August , Tuesday , must know how to be in tune , be able to paly with the harmony director & the metronome . Also , must know how to play Gates of Orion . There will be a test on that day . Every junior is suposed to come up with a solo and it will be tested on the spot , one by one . For those who pass the test , the next band practice which is thursday is to join the main band for practice . As for those who did not pass , will be staying in Junior Band until he / she passes the test . There will be 1 winner and will decide the punishments for the two weakest juniors . For the two weakest juniors , the whole section will have to sign 1 extra .
